New do

If you're a regular reader, you can't help but notice the new face on the blog. I've been wanting to switch to three columns for a couple of years, and finally learned how to do it. I'll be tweaking off and on when I can grab a few minutes, so you may notice other changes along the way. What do you think so far?

  1. I like it! May I ask where you got the template? Back channel me if you'd like.

Glad to read in your sidebar that you will be returning to the Village of Ordinary. I love that story and have missed it a lot.

  2. Thank you for weighing in, Wanda. The template is a standard blogger template (Minima). Tips for New Bloggers shows how to turn Blogger's two-column templates into three-columns.

Sadly, it may be awhile before I can give the Village all that I want to, but I continue the back-scenes work, and this blog helps to keep the research in focus (long as I don't get too distracted with politics!).

Your support over the years has meant--and continues to mean--a great deal to me.

  3. It's shaping up nicely! My .02, i it were mine and I'd gone to three columns and didn't have something to fill up each side all the way down five blog entries, I'd change my settings so that only three entries showed. That way now matter how far someone goes down on the page, there's something in each sidebar. With five blog entries, by the time you get down past the third entry, the posts start to look very alone surrounded by so much white space. If I came by your blog more often, however, I'd never have seen the white space!
